Gonna pop in at checkers outdoor and have a look.. have two in my vicinity..

I see that the 22 pro is the manual version of the 575 pro and it would be nice to have the app control and more fine grained temperature control as well.. but the 575 is WAY more money sadly..

Just keep in mind that the Traeger runs exclusively on pellets and cannot burn wood chunks, chips, or logs...

A 9kg bag of pellets (usually range from about R450+) will last between 6 and 20 hours of cooking time, depending entirely on the temperature.

I don't braai too often and still will use my normal braai if having lots of people over etc.. so one bag is going to last a while..

i used my gas braai maybe 5 times in 5 years ..so i dont think any gas heated pellets going to work for me

but my buddy has the weber pellet one and it isnt very different compared to a gas braai for me

Traeger is not gas heated pellets.. Uses an electric rod to burn the pellets..

I also picked up the meater, managed to get one..

Though the Traeger does come with two meat probes included but, being the all manual version you obviously can't monitor the temp from an app, have to use the control panel..

Had some sunshine between the thunderstorms, so squeezed in a quick braai. Found something akin to unicorn meat: chicken thighs WITH skin AND bone-in.
Also braaid my last kerrie wors....and they don't make it anymore. Sad face...
