You don't use liters with bulk water... Only when buying Dasani. 40 000 kiloliters is not a lot of water for an industrial user. I lot of large houses use like 20kl/month or 240kl/year. They use less than 200 large households.

If you look at rainfall - 700mm per year is 0.7kl/squate meter. So about 7000kl/hectare. So they use less water than what falls on 6 hectares of land. That is less that their physical footprint. Ergo they use less water than the amount of rain that falls on them.
