DStv's split bill feature lets customers split their monthly fee with another person, and the broadcaster has plans to expand the feature.

Would love to see the R/channel weighted for average monthly watch time per channel. Betting we'd see a very different "value" ranking.

Using a cost per channel as the measure of value for each package isn't the best way.

You could give me 5000 channels of absolute garbage for R399 p/m and it still wouldn't be better than offering 50 channels I would actually watch for the same price.

Let's be honest, most those channels are filler rubbish to give the appearance of value

It seems very vague as to what this entails yes.
From the article it just seems that you split the bill a.k.a have daddy pay half of your DSTV

Was just joking - will never go back to DStv for anything, especially as their streaming app was so screwed up it kept logging me out each time I watched something. That was pre-Canal+ so don't know if it's been fixed, but won't ever be finding out either.

2 streams, plus 1 mobile type stream. Same channel streaming is fine. (I've got it.)

What about the decoder Premium package: R979 which is one decoder feed and 2 streams, so R326 pp when you split.

Let's get really complicated ;- )

Try an Xtraview arrangement with total of 3 decoders, then the 2 streams, and you missed the mobile type stream. Cheap, cheap!

And in the last several years the only channels I've utilised are Golf and Tennis. Nothing else. Luckily I don't pay, in fact I wouldn't if I had to.
