One bird strike away from disaster — Pilots say South Africa’s world-record flyby was dangerous

99.999 % of the fight is at an altitude where there is zero chance of reccovery.

Yes, it is pointless. The aviation authority will determine if there is a problem and its not safe.
We are just painlessly bickering.
firstly if there was a sudden 20-30m drop in altitude there would be a chance of saving all the way except over and just before the stadium.
Secondly even if there was zero chance, they would have hit the ocean most of the the flight and just killing the three of them not thousands in the stadium.
Thats the whole point.

The drama!

Besides there's nothing wrong with being a world record holder

There is many things that can go wrong in an airplane, not just a bird strike, mechanical, weather etc. Surely its not difficult to understand that if something happen and you suddenly lose power/altitude or whatever. If you 15m from a stadium roof you don;t have much chance of recovery, but if you 50 or 100m you have a way better chance.

I don't even know why we have these discussions on all these threads. It should be common sense.
If so many things could go wrong. They should not put passengers on the planes.
It is probably one of the safest and most reliable stunts in the world. It is not like they were flying a Boeing.

you understand that they didn't just on a whim decide to "buzz the tower"
this was planned, coordinated, rehearsed and everything was calculated in advance.

we just live in a society that is not thinking for itself anymore, we just use Ai,
and stunts like this will never happen again cause "reasons"

Don't be silly.

Do you know how many airshow disasters have happened over the years. So many, and they were all planned and rehearsed.

And those planes are far more maneuverable than giant titanics with wings.

It was dangerous and reckless, especially with two of them.

Jassis look at this oke not even understanding why people from all over the world are questioning this flyover and not any other over the years.
It seems you are bored and just wanted to post something without thinking.

Now do a comparison between the number of Embraer aircraft versus Boeing aircraft that were flying commercially over that time period…

That's asking a bit much. You do the comparison and let me know. My AI is broken.
