Things that irritate you - Part 4

I am beginning to sound like an old man - complaining about pills and vitamins again, but really...

Dis-Chem - is it really THAT difficult to sort the vitamin shelves alphabetically? You know, start with Vit A, then all the B vitamin, and so on and so forth. There really is zero logic to how these things are packed. FFS.

When you employ 30 percenters who are functionally illiterate & innumerate as shelf packers - then this is the sad but inevitable result... :(

So branding and supplier requirements does not play a role ? Management is not to blame? I agree they are not always the most helpful, but they are just following instructions and requirements. We often blame the "30 percenters", but you should really actually blame those with distinctions.

Sorry but your level of thinking is part of the problem , if not the biggest probablem.

Lol people with distinctions are not in marketing, branding or shop floor management.

Unless of course it's distinctions in art or political science.

Employees don’t decide where to stock shelves. It’s all system driven and they are using scanners that tell them where to put the stock.
As an example, gondola ends are more valuable and suppliers pay a fee or create incentives to run promotions in these locations. These promotions are then tracked through epos data to determine success.
Besides, shelves are not packed to make sense, they are packed to fuel spending and impulse buying.

When I had my first car - a silver 1981 VW Golf Mk.1 GTS with the 1.6 carb engine (63kW) & the 5-speed (4+E) gearbox - I had a strict NO SMOKING rule for any passengers.

One day I had to fetch my mom from work, as her car was in for a service - a 1973 Chrysler Valiant Regal (VH) - and on the way back home, she took a cigarette out of her handbag and fired it up - I immediately snatched it out of her hand & flung it out of the window and sternly admonished her for violating the NO SMOKING rule...

She NEVER lit up a cigarette in my car ever again... ;)

(My mom's Valiant Regal was baby blue with a black vinyl roof - and had a factory fit under-dash air-conditioner unit)
