Sky-high petrol prices driving South Africans to unfamiliar car brands

South Africans are currently willing to do anything to save money on petrol, including buying cars from unfamiliar or unknown brands.

Is it suggested people buy Chinesium cars where 1500cc engines return 11L/100km while e.g. a 2L BMW returns under 6L/100km and delivers twice the power....therefor people rather buy the Chinese crap?

In whose world does that make sense other than those with single digit IQ? Nothing to do with fuel price....all about initial capital lay-out.

Yeap, an overstressed 1.5 over a relaxed 2.0 or higher, strange the bigger capacity engine should deliver better fuel efficiency
