UPDATE- Rugby Stadium Low Pass: SACAA Speaks! - Taking Off​

South Africa's aviation regulator has issued its first statement on the low-altitude Airlink flypast over Cape Town's DHL Stadium — and it stopped short of any compliance finding.

SACAA confirmed the required simulator rehearsals took place but says it's now waiting on Airlink for more information before reaching a position, while Airlink has already pulled the plug on a planned third flypast in Johannesburg.

Aviation voices inside South Africa, including AOPA South Africa's president, are pushing back harder than the airline or the government have.

I didn't watch the previous version on Dan Millican's channel, but the update is definitely worth watching! Something can be both awesome and dangerous at the same time. Dan's key message for pilots, when it comes to safety: Superior judgement trumps superior skill.

I like how were all obsessed with the planes and nobody’s like “what the heck are those three guys doing standing on the stadium roof??”
