I don’t think many doctors would disagree that blood sugar control is important, but I do think it’s something that often doesn’t get explained to patients. The focus is usually on cholesterol numbers and blood pressure, without really connecting the dots. What rarely gets discussed is that insulin resistance is often the underlying driver behind both bad cholesterol patterns and high blood pressure. So people end up treating the symptoms, without ever being told about the root cause or how to fix it.
