Exactly, why would it be any better enforced if the laws are more strict? This is a stupid argument. Rather, enforce the existing laws before they go and mess with the law simply to make it easier for someone to say that you're guilty of something. More law doesn't fix existing problems which are not the law itself.

A large fraction of road fatalities involve drunk pedestrians at night. There is absolutely no legal way to keep these people from crossing the road. Google:
High numbers: Alcohol is present in up to 60% of fatal pedestrian accidents.
Who is affected: Young men are the most frequent victims of alcohol-related road crashes.
Impaired judgement: Alcohol makes it hard to walk straight, judge car speed, or react to danger.

My partner and I decided to do the responsible thing by taking an Uber to and from a wine festival. It wasn't the middle of nowhere, but we couldn't get a ride back. We now do the boring thing and stay home.

Correct. So as much as we should police drunk driving - its the walking that is the problem.

Perhaps the public drunkenness laws are the ones that need to be looked at.
 
I failed the breathalyzer test at one of our plants one day. So after some investigating we found out it was the anti anxiety drops i sometimes take. Just one drop of this will make you fail. Turns out it contains 36% alcohol listed as preservative.

Rescue is a farce. Who still uses that crud? It's about as anti-anxiety as a pet rock made of sponge.

Homeopathy is BS. Don't support BS.
 
If alcohol is the problem ban alcohol, :ROFL: it will be just as enforceable as this new plan or the current plan.
 
Let's start by stating that I do not drink alcohol at all. That said I feel that the government is trying to avoid actually doing their jobs and are simply trying to avoid dealing with the specific demographic that is the problem.
 
So are they first going to ban all medications that contain alcohol? This government gets stupider by the day, if that's even possible. Just another reason to vote for Cape independence. It's literally the only way we are going to get free of the idiocy.
