Russo-Ukrainian War - 2022 Edition - Part 11

The world should hang its head in shame for what has happened in Ukraine. The USA in particular. They are creating the next Hitler by allowing Putin again and again to take what he wants with no consequences. The Russian army is now getting to the point were they are actually dangerous again. If they also take over Ukraine and can use Ukrainian expertise and soldiers in their next conflict the world is in trouble. If the Ukrainian and Russian armed forces combine today it would be a force that could take Europe.

Unless Russia completely conquers Ukraine, I very much doubt those 2 forces will combine. The Russian actions in Ukraine have made the vast majority of that population absolutely hate their existence.

But I 100% agree, the world in general and the USA specifically should hang their head in shame at allowing this situation to continue without giving Vlad a proper PK for his actions.

Agreed. However I feel like strain is building. This war is a lot like WW1. It's very attritional. WW1 no one knew which side would win for a long long time. It was unlike WW2 where it continued for years despite the ultimate outcome being clear for a while. The German system just eventually broke down and it was rather sudden for WW1. I get the feeling this Ukraine conflict will be the same. Russia has more manpower, more budget, etc. What they lacked was the quality in their military. As is often the case with Russian wars they start badly, but the longer they stay in the war they slowly build competence and eventually just succeed on the basis of having the biggest semi competent force. Nothing is changing right now on the Russian side. They are playing the patient game, building up expertise and the new weaponry of war. Ukraine is certainly making them bleed but its just not enough. They are no where near stopping.

Ukraine on the other hand is highly dependent on external support. Russia has successfully gotten America to pull out support. The EU is trying but they have their own problems with stretched budgets and their immigration crisis so their ability to fund the war for Ukraine is limited. Germany just had a far right party win who wants to stop supporting Ukraine. If they drop support I think Ukraine's ability to resist could collapse rather fast and at that point you may have a cascading collapse of the front with the armed forces of Ukraine surrendering on mass as they are starving to death. Russia will then take over all of Ukraine.

I really hope that does not happen, but right now it is definitely a possibility. Ukraine is the more vulnerable party here as the EU pulling funding would almost certainly cause massive setbacks to them. Russia is not facing the same issue. The pain Russia is feeling with the fuel crises etc they are weathering in the usual Russian way. So what, life always sucks here. The political control is just too strong for Putin.

The only way Russia loses is if NATO basically does a full naval blockade of Russia and then also keeps the railways in Russia's far east were they border China and NK inoperable and shut down the borders with the "stans" via threat or force making it hard for Russia to import or export anything. That is well within NATO's ability if they were all on the same page and not tied up Iran in the USA's case. That would collapse the Russian state fast. However that move would create massive short term fuel shortages and price spike's so they won't. They also don't want to risk all out nuclear war. It is a mess. NATO does not have the drive, and leadership to do what must be done now so instead they kick the can down the road not realizing it will just make things worse in the long run when Russia comes for NATO members. Once Russia has Ukraine I fully believe they will start eating up the Balkans, Poland, Estonia etc and whatever else they feel like. America is in their pocket meaning NATO article 5 is effectively neutralized.

"For Putin, the conflict is not about preserving prosperity but about defending Russia against an existential threat"

You certainly cannot believe this crap you post. Shame on you.
