EasyEquities and crypto companies in alliance against South African Reserve Bank and National Treasury

oh great, another petition list, as we all know the guavamint pays so much attention to those!

what are they actually doing to fight this though? the millisecond there is grounds to take this to, and lock this up forever in, court it should be done (or should have been done already?)

It is high time to do away with all these archaic exchange control regulations.

Thumbs up to the person who thought of the CATASTROPHE acronym.

As I understand it, you can only take legislation to court once it has been implemented. Hence why all the NHI court challenges only appeared from last year despite opposition from multiple sectors of society since 2012/2013.

might well be the case, not exactly my area of expertise

although in the past we have seen people petition the court for injunctions against things mid-process to stop it from ever becoming law in the first place, not sure if that's an option here, but it would be nice if CATASTROHPE already has a plan they can publish that is not solely reliant on public comment
