What were the reasons for Brevis' exclusion?

Shukri said he will play against Bangladesh and was competing against Miller, Stubbs and Breetzke for a spot.

Personally I don't think we need 5 openers/nr.3's in Aiden, Rickelton, qdk, bavuma and de Zorzi. I would have picked Brevis ahead of de zorzi or Rickelton as neither have convinced in odi's for me.

I think there is some political pressure of wanting 2 black african batsmen in the world cup squad. Hope I am wrong but just a feeling.
