Another SAP stuff up - hope someone is going to be held responsible for this animal cruelty.

Why, who is running that dog unit that would allow something so heartless to take place??
It comes down to the same answer for every dysfunctional department, every arm of state: incompetent and corrupt ANC cadres, their ANC nepotism appointees, and corrupt ANC employment practices.

This is extremely sad. I wish nothing but suffering upon people who would do this to animals.

But surely the dog handlers would be looking out for their furry colleagues, where are they in all this?

To be honest I haven't actually read the articles because I saw some pics of the dog in question on social media yesterday and they were so disturbing I don't have the heart to read the articles.

They were trying to get her out of the SAPS kennel to a foster home while the adoption process was taking place. But since this is a police dog, it needed a sign off from higher ups. It did not happen despite pleas.

Mr Cameron said the information provided to him indicates that, during August, SAPS members asked Colonel Corbett to approach Brigadier Kekana for permission for Sky to be taken to a suitable home temporarily while the formal application was being processed. According to the information supplied, that request was not escalated to Brigadier Kekana.

I think there is also the simple fact that for many people a dog is just a dog. The ANC deploys people not because they are the right person for the job, and most SAPS members are there because it is a job, so there is no passion nor love for the job and neither is there any appreciation or respect for everything that goes with it. Pick up a paycheck, take a few bribes, and to hell with everything else.
