My area is a nightmare with daily outages due to swiss cheese infrastructure. Then last week our main reservoir ran dry again. The powers that be like to make out as though it's the residents just using too much vs. the fact that the supply doesn't make it to its destination.
Yeah, is there anything more stupid and inefficient than tanking tons of water around on the already-crumbling roads, outside of catastrophic drought or other natural disaster scenario, as opposed to moving it through pipes that exist? These people are insufferable.
My house is near the lowest point in town. The town starts complaining about water outages, and it only starts affecting my pressure 2 days later. After a week of outages, my tanks are still full from municipal feed.
So I am the last to not have water, and when water returns, I am the first to get.
