That's not what anyone else was referring to as home-cooked in this thread though. The point is not where you get but what you eat. If someone else can cook home cooked for people, that's just as good if not even better. LOL.

And, as you correctly pointed out, takeaway food isn't the type of food you're meant to be eating regularly anyway. So stop being lazy and cook your own.
Why are you trying to run interference for the FDA?You should look at what the pharma industry was like before the FDA. People were sold poisons and placebos to treat actual ailments.
People don't know where the world comes from. Hindsight is 20/20.
Both, though you cannot out exercise your diet, so primarily diet.Do you think people being overweight is due to more than people simply eating too much and not doing enough exercise?

Are you trying to justify the abysmal track record of the FDA by arguing that it could be worse? You need to look at the history of meds prior to the FDA. I'm educating you.

I can get many home cooked meals from smaller non franchised take away places around.
We have a very consumerism angled food culture from the vast majority of people. They want the 'cool' foods.Maybe, I haven't seen many of these though, they're certainly not the staple. The main stuff we see is Wimpy, McD, Burger King, Steers, KFC, Chicken Licken, etc.
Former communist European countries have such 'bars'. You get good home made meals you can take away or eat right there and leave.
Such are not however 24/7 but will function for at least 6-8 hours a day.

Thats crazy even for Cape Town standards but he is a pretty savvy businessman so he's probably just trying his luck and chucking a price out there to see if anyone bites. He has just finished a full renovation so he does have that in his favour![]()
