OK so your theory is that Apple developed a phone from scratch, wrote software etc for it within a month or so from Samsung release?

Yet since 2025 the rumours of Apple foldable's size and passport shape was out, and like I said Samsung making the screen would have known shape and size for long time.

Foldable phones are big in China, not so much in the rest of the world. So its a market to explore for Apple, but like Jobs said, they don't ship junk. So they waited till they thought the technology is ripe not to ship junk.
The funny thing is, because Apple mostly do things properly, they might create a bigger market for foldable phones in the rest of the world and the other brands might benefit from that.

I partly agree - they may create a larger market, but that's really because they've spent years grooming the average user to 'want' anything Apple - good or bad. They have some of the best marketing out there and if you have even a slightly weaker mind, it gets the better of you.

Are all Android users as dumb as you?
As far as I know you could buy foldable phones in the US almost from when they launched years ago. Popular US Youtubers like Austin Evans swears by a flip phone from when the first Samsung launched. So why would Americans not know what foldable phones is?
Also an under display camera on an normal phone where its your only option for selfies/video calls etc, is vastly different than an under display camera only on you big screen and where you have options for great selfies/video call on your normal screen and camera and amazing selfies and video calls using the main camera at the back.

BUt I meant general with OLED, charging speeds ,new WiFi standands, Alwasy On, cameras etc they delay because 'they're improving'

This hype is mostly for Americans who's freedom dont allow them to get access to most of the newest technology since it's Chinese. They'll fawn over the brand new foldable/amazing/innovative, so smooth, never before done form factor.

Yup - most of the guys in their are a bit soft and can't take someone not agreeing with 'their' decision. So the reason was that they got upset with me if I pointed out that Apple had flaws. But I accept it.
