MayDay (2026) - 8/10. Had loads of fun with this. The era, setting and music were great. Awesome dialogue and cool fight scenes. One of the top movies of the year so far for me.

Excellent performance by Kenneth Branagh and Ryan Reynolds. I was starting to believe that Ryan could only be Deadpool. If it wasn't for the propagandist message seeping through this movie, it would have scored better. 6/10
Is he doing his usual Ryan Reynolds schtick or actually playing a different character?

Even in "Welcome to Wrexham", he is over the top.

Same deadpan schtick. Its like the bobbing head of Jon Bernthal. Cant get away from it even if he tries.

Poor acting, terrible cinematography and a pretty lame story. Unfortunately, this doesn't fall into the "it's so bad, it's good" category. 2/10

The End of Oak Street (2026) 6.5/10
Enjoyable sci-fi survival. Lots of properly gripping elements, plays out well. One particular WTF creepy scene. Hathaway & McGregor went above & beyond. Think Jumanji on overdrive & you're not far off.
