It’s a dent.

The guy next to me must have scratched me on the way out. Maybe a bad photo - but you can see the scratches from the black strip leading to a dent.

Edit : I can see it’s tough to see from that photo though. I’ll retake tomorrow. I’m going to get a quote to pull it out

I can tell you that the update for fuel consumption was not done and they likely just told you what you wanted to hear.. my wife's tiggo 4 pro went for a service in June and we specifically asked for the update and were told it's not applicable to the tiggo 4 pro..

So as you said, they probably didn't do anything as I'm at 9.5 (only my first tank) which seems to the standard for non-updated cars. I have a feeling that the dealers don't know or care too much.

The battery in my remote has died already ... after 9 months. My Volvo lasted about 9 years ...

I like the fact the Volvo had a trip meter that auto reset everytime you started the car with fuel consumption over either 1km or 10km - so you could see for that trip the average fuel consumption for the trip, or 1km or 10km - as well as time for that trip and distance. This doesn't have - but no biggy. It was also easier on the Volvo to reset the odometre without going through different menus like on the Chery.

Again not a big issue, but the remote start activates the aircon automatically ... even if it's already 5 degrees outside. I actually use this often to warm the engine - but then if it's cold, it freezes the cabin

Oh - I got R115,000 for my Volvo, which I think was fair after 10 years and 170,000km ... and believe it or not, that figure came from WeBuyCars. They immediatly put it on their internal auction and sold for R139,000

Where did you get the 1.5k quote from..? Wife has a similar dent to be fixed..

As for remote battery, hers has lasted for over two years now..

I think at the end of the day, all the 'gripes' that I have and comparissons with my (albeit old) Volvo are slightly unfair keeping in mind the cost.

I'm not sure where you are based - but I've used these guys since they started ... as do most the dealership in the area. I used them 2 months ago to do a few scratches on the Volvo and amazing service.

As for remote battery, hers has lasted for over two years now..

Maybe I just had bad luck or was a dud battery.

Bought a demo 2023 Comfort CVT (no turbo) with 10k km on the clock about two weeks back.

I'm currently sitting on between 6.3 to 7.1L / 100. I've noticed it's heavy on the start stop local town trips and really frugal on the freeways.

I’m loving it.

I’m on the Facebook groups and I see issues with fault brake lights, sensors, gearbox warnings … but (touch wood) I have no issues at all

EDIT : I don’t drive that much though and I’ve done less than 20,000km myself (think the car is under 30,000) and still no long distance to check fuel on the open road

My old man has his, bought new, povo spec LIT CVT for just over a year now & it's been good to him as well.

Elite, manual with turbo engine.. somewhere in the late 20k, early 30k on the odo.. consumption is around 9L/100km, but she is heavy footed, not speeding so, but not at all bothered with economical driving..
