Nope.. if you want to win back half a million subscribers, you have to listen what they want and do it even better.

- Cheaper premium package, should be priced <= R499.
- You have a "sport" package without the important sports.

You're not dealing with reality dude, again look at prices charged overseas.
Price of a McDonalds burger overseas vs local price? That's reality. You cannot expect to charge "overseas prices" to a market that is not comparable to "overseas", on any reasonable metric.

A US salary of USD50 000 is almost poverty. Over here, it's 3x the national average.

Reality.

No choice - most of the entertainment & sports material comes from overseas...

Just a fact, I don't like it either.

It is unsustainable, they need customers to pay their bills. There are too many alternatives, some legal and some not so much.

I understand broadcasting rights are expensive, but they will have to negotiate better deals, or they will go the way the dodo went.

Agreed.

But that's all satellite / cable etc. systems of old worldwide, all have to find a new model.

The plan will not include lower prices, a proper sports only package or a streaming app that isn’t buggy that can stream 4K properly with sound and picture in sync.

Also, they won’t stream anything from Namibia, you’ll need YouTube for that.

I'll throw this in here too for anyone wanting to debate the specifics..

So what do you guys think may still be coming with this sport package(s) development?

I'm guessing they're going to stick in principle to the original modular idea they showed us years ago, but with a French twist.
Of the premium sports left (rugby, golf, tennis & motorsport) , I think they'll offer cheapest(?) (and easiest to replace) motorsport as a R50 or R75 add on to Sport, and then give a choice between golf and tennis (can't have both) , either @ R100.

Then around the time of the next price increase, think we'll get a 2nd Sport package with rugby, and same add ons.

I'm certain they'll never offer cricket and rugby together, they didn't with those earlier modules.
