The 'Massive' Gauteng Weather and Storm Warning Thread! The Sequel

For the first rains of the season we had two very good downpours this morning in Centurion. And currently is bucketing down again.

Drove from Cresta to Linksfield on the highway. Heavy rain all the way but stopped now.

Amazing, Linksfield side of that highway is only maybe 3 km east from here but all we've had is drizzle again.

@Brian_G trying a restaurant called George’s someone recommend. It wasn’t raining in Sandton but it suddenly started in buckets here. Looks like it might again just now

Tired of it now, we got pelted On friday, miserable day yesterday with intermittent rain, pelted early AM today, and then miserable day again today

The end is in sight - between 11 pm tomorrow (Mon.) and 1 am Tues.

But Tues. still a day with darker clouds.

Sounds like something big is headed our way. Currently big warnings for the Cape and I hear it will hit us around Thursday with temps dropping. Any of you weather boffs with the fancy maps got some to share?

Apparently another one like last time.

For the next 2 days it doesn't look too promising, however this weekend seems to be relatively "moist"

Hmm. Last storm gave me 30 mm of rain. Already a lot more than the Sept long term Gauteng average of 16mm. If this drops some serious raid we are looking at a very unusually wet September in JHB.

This week will again be 'interesting, though the effects on Gauteng seem quite limited at this stage, with the peak rainfall in the central and eastern parts of SA:

Apart from some dark clouds in Joburg at the moment, there doesn't seem to be much rain around.
