Record petrol and diesel prices on the cards in South Africa

Faaaaak, I am so glad I do not have to commute every day! My car hasn't been out the garage since Thursday. I feel sorry for those who have to go to work at their expense and who are not effectively taking a salary cut. Sad, very sad.
We don't even have Boland to thank!

Get a smart charger for the car battery. I still put in R500 of 50ppm for 3.0TDi.

We all know it's Epstein's fellow pedo friends that caused this. And there are poepholle on THIS forum that are Trumpers and Nazis, I mean Zios.
Little difference between Trump supporters & ANC/EFF/MK supporters when it comes to blindly keeping people in power who make life harder for everyone.

I would just like to know...

How are we supposed to survive with these rising fuel costs?

I presume, presume, getting a 2nd or 3rd income stream going is paramount to survival?

"If a service station applied a 15% retail margin on the current expected diesel price of R32.18, it would charge R37.01 per litre."

But what is the actual probable margin garages use? I know it doesn't get regulated. The average is 15%?

Haven't checked the current wholesale prices and what a garage in the area charges.

I go on about R3 that is added to petrol, so plus R3 minimum.

Be proactive and start gathering corrugated sheets. Soon we will all need to use them as walls at the rate costs for everything just go up & up.

Depends on the Garage really.

I use a truck stop that adds about R1 to the wholesale price, but it does seem like most places tack on around R2.50 - R3.50, even the garages just down the road from the truckstop are R1.50 more expensive

Seems like these hikes will not stop anytime soon.

Will put any December plans on hold, not going to pay silly money to get to somewhere like Addo National Park from Cape Town, will consider closer to the time.
