Food poisoning - what to do ?

Yes the old colchicine.
No my gout is to bad, it can't really be treated. Puricos does not work. Just drink Colchicine when its really bad.

That's a very different thing though... the thing you posted is a urinary alkalinizer which is more for long term management. Colchicine specifically treats the acute pain, swelling, and inflammation during an active gout flare.

You must have been super lucky so have it help with an attack.

The last time I had food poisoning was the first time I went to Thailand and bought food from the side of the road and then spent a few hours over the toilet.

Years ago I used that PH balance things. worked a few months and then the gout became worse as your body starts producing more acid.

well, it was like a miracle -
i had to shuffle up a few stairs like i was 105.
the pain in my joints (ankles / knees) was insane.
within an hour i was up and down as though nothing was wrong.

try it

This is a troll thread. I think the OP does them every so often for some reason.

street food in thailand is known to have unhappy endings !!
There's a reason there's a thing called delhi belly. A buddy of mine also said you don't ever want to go to an Indian hospital and he lived in Thailand for 5 years never had an issue, plus also ate guinea pig in the amazon, but one trip to Delhi

I also believe in no Imodium. Get it all out. For that reason if I have food poisoning I actually try drink a lot of fluids. If its bad activated charcoal is a good idea. Rehydrate powder in the fluids once they can stay down more than 5 min also a great idea. If you decide not to get admitted at least make sure you are not alone as with poisoning I have heard of people degrading very quickly and being unable to call for help at some point so you need someone around who can call an ambulance for you if you want to try ride it out at home. One guy I know almost died from some bad oysters he ate and spent over 2 weeks in ICU. It can be life threatening so do take it seriously and if you find at any point your level of consciousness is declining (like you can't do simple math in your head or find more advanced words in your vocabulary) get someone to take you to hospital ASAP.

Have you considered it’s possible there’s nothing wrong with the food and it’s your body responding to it badly instead?

We get older and things change, but we still live by the mantra that it worked just fine last time so it can’t be us.

But BRAT diet and the rehydrate type stuff as a Crohn’s sufferer goes a long way.
