What's more likely is that this psycho just saw her on the road and decided to follow her.

Eish yeah, her strava profile is public so anyone with the app can see her routes and she did run the same route a lot .

Most lady runners I know have their Strava profile set to private and you need to request to see their runs.

More like the killer frequents the same areas, and looks for targets when they are available and alone. You probably could look through mobile records for phones in that area for the days preceding, and then look at the victims cell records to match those with location and time. But would require three things SAPS does not have. Motivation to investigate, ability to investigate, and actual investigators who are competent.
