Pay as little tax as possible

How is that possible for me when the company deducts tax before I get my pay?
Don't ask questions that affect ordinary people here. Apparently we're all super rich like the renowned economist, and paying other sorts of taxes that we can minimise...

PAYE is not final. It is an estimate, settled when you file, so a deduction still pays out as a refund long after the money left your payslip.

The article names the options but not the size of them. R2 000 a month into an RA, 2026/27 tables: on R600k taxable income you get R8 640 back, so it actually costs you R1 280 a month. On R800k, R9 360 back.

The ceiling is 27.5% of taxable income, and if you are on a company pension or provident fund those contributions already use part of it.
