Nothing can replace the fact that the ANC will be getting a fat round zero in some municipalities! Also those potential candidates are going to be mightily pissed off and are unlikely to feel enthusiastic in campaigning for the ANC in neighbouring municipalities as their 5-year "guaranteed job" is now not coming to fruition.
It's not ideal but if the DA win and do a good job they could cement their place. They won't win though. They'd need to work with others which they don't do well.
Those votes will probably go to MK and EFF, who the DA aren't going to work with anyway. It's going to be another kak 5 years for these idiots...
Yeah, they got 23% in Mangaung in 2024, they are just not good enough to overcome the margin needed to go from there to a win.
You still cannot explain how the DA is benefitting from it, because you know the truth, our people simply cannot stand the DA, there is a very good reason new parties are appearing everywhere and getting votes while the DA is stuck at 20%, it is an abhorrent party and people see right through it.

To be absolutely fair, appeals is a recognised part of the legal process. I don't think their appeal has much prospect of success, but their lawyers will always encourage an appeal because it means more $$$$ for them.
