R2.50 per litre blow for petrol prices in South Africa

Its a combination of supply and demand, but primarily supply side issues currently I'd think, thanks to Vlad and Donnie pretty much.

Worry more about diesel prices which impact on levels from farming through manufacturing, distribution etc. Much heavier impact in the end. Petrol is just for your car. Diesel impacts on your food and just about everything. A very micro cosmic view to always only shout about petrol going up, but losing sight of the bigger picture. Get out of your bubble!

''Petrol is just for your car''.

Sure, and I am spending about R200 more on a tank of petrol now than I was in March, and I fill up 3 - 4 times per month.

So food goes up and I have less money to spend because of the cost of petrol.

The rising cost of both is fvcking us hard.
