Disappointing, they didn't listen. I was hoping the sports package would unclude the cricket and the rugby. People will head for the streams again

The biggest change at DStv in over two decades has now gone live.

It's a total nightmare for me. I was on the DStv Compact Stream promo at R99/pm for 12 months, but now that the discount has been cancelled, DStv is trying to charge me for decoder services I told them to disconnect months ago. I'm struggling to get my service restored, and I doubt Canal+ will even acknowledge it. Canal+ seems to be making a mess of things, especially when it comes to honoring service agreements. They keep changing DStv, but fail to fix basic operational issues, leaving their own call center agents stranded without answers.

Some serious Cricket fans not impressed with all round current cricket coverage. Are the "French rats" (as someone called them ) now being cheap with enough coverage, or is it just temporary issues, like we had with the Zim games recently?

Doesn't mean much if they aren't actually covering the national cricket teams properly.

Why is everyone so obsessed with size? I would think the smaller the better.

Most do prefer small, DStv polled subscribers etc. years ago about it. Took them by surprise.

I guess some will used to find it useful for channel identity, especially if you can't see the front of your decoder or you're streaming.

There's no "i" button with streaming.

A bit more stable, that app somehow gets the mobile version

So premium stream is R699. Premium Decoder is R979. Sports stream is R399 and Sports decoder is R479. So if you ditch the decoder the premium stream seems like the best deal.

Why is decoder more expensive than streaming? Streaming they need to pay Akamai the bandwidth for each streamer. Decoder it's basically unlimited because they already pay for the satelite.

It's the other way around, streaming-only is cheaper than satellite. Was done years ago as an incentive, now that idea is legacy.
Anyway it's changing back soon, if they stick to that.
