Look up using your banking apps to pay, Standard Bank I tried out, and a nightmare. But you can go from your banking app and then just add the cards to apple pay, and then you wont need your banking app.

Supercards app is avail both Google and Apple

You can actually consolidate your cards, ie scan youre wife's loyalty cards if she always uses the points.

Apple Pay for payment and Supercards App for all the loyalty cards...

however with Spar it doesnt work because spar is useless so give your phone number at spar
And PnP you have to type in the longer number because not all pick n pay can scan the card.

But everywhere else it works, clicks, woolworths, checkers, shoprite, makro, bp, ok, lego store, dischem etc etc.

Now if only we can have digital id and driver licenses, because then i really wont need my wallet.

And at my company i can tap to enter too, replaced their rfid cards. Yip Apple does support them too.

So on apple pay, double tap on side, smile and tap to pay. its instant. you can add cards from your banking app. and pay for temu, takealot, apple, bobshop etc, is simple check out to pay and pay by apple pay, double tap, smile and pay. Ive used it globally and it was a total breeze everywhere. Visa Infinite/Amex Platinum/Standard Bank Virtual card, etc as easy as pie. Lounge entry, trains, busses, taxis, shops etc.

If youre on samsung pay or the bank pay apps, it honestly sucks and causes delays. yes you have to open the app, then go from there to pay. And then wait and so on. Explains why soo little Samsung pay users outside of Korea, and same with some of the dumb banking apps. yes with standard you first have to sign in, then go to the payment option etc.

With Apple, even opening the banking app is smile and it unlocks. ok no smiling but face recognition. instant.

And yes we tried it on our one space s26 ultra and it was a total nightmare with the latest software.

So yes dont bother unless youre on apple pay. It just works....easier. and yes it keeps track of all the payment nofications and with which card on apple pay.
Skill issue. Just use the Samsung wallet. Takes maybe 1 second. Fingerprint and tap.

Ja that's kak and actually stupid from a security perspective.
maybe, but I guess most smartwatches do the same thing, I mean if somebody steals your watch what stops them from running up a huge bill on your name.

just annoying having to do it on such a tiny screen. the sensitivity or my fat fingers doesn't seem to help much.

Phone tap. I don't carry a wallet with me at all and haven't done so in years (don't even own a wallet). I also use my watch to pay sometimes.

Tell me, do you tap at the Shul too? Serious question

NFC payments work without data
I paid once and it looked like it went through on my side. I was told it didn't go through and had to try again. I then used my card since I thought it didn't work since I had no data and it worked with my card. After that, I just used my card when I had no data.

Well that's the point it should only ask you for your PIN/Pattern when it was removed off your wrist which solves that problem entirely.

Having to repeatedly enter it as you suggested exposes it to others seeing it which is far more of a danger for it being stolen then.

maybe its a setting or some kind of defect in the technology as I have to enter it multiple times
never could quite work out why, sure I could do it with a phone as well, but what the point in that when its strapped to your wrist.

Should've just tried again. Perhaps it was just a glitch in the matrix.

Tap with physical unless its over my threshold then insert. Also Nedbank seems to have a safety feature where every 5 taps or so it makes you insert and do the pin in case the card was cloned or stolen. I don't mind so much as that seems a good safety feature.

He literally said use Apple Pay because it's more efficient.
He was telling us how slow the Samsung and other apps are for some reason. Which it's not, it takes roughly 2 seconds to pay from the moment I open my phone. You just flick, fingerprint and tap. Done.

If it's slow, you are doing something wrong and using the wrong app for the job, therefore a skill issue.

Tired of reaching for your wallet?Take your wife along, I've discovered that if you look super busy and distracted when paying time comes then they often feel compelled to pay themselves in order to avoid unnecessary attention. Then you act all surprised and mildly upset about it.

Possibly wearing it too loose? So it thinks that it’s come of your arm?

Good idea, but then the whole trip takes 10 times longer as they have to walk through the whole shop and throw a whole lot of unnecessary stuff into the trolley.
