The National Taxi Alliance (NTA) has given Transport Minister Barbara Creecy 14 days to respond to its demands to ease financial pressure on South Africa’s minibus taxi industry.

So, a largely illegal industry which not only is a law unto itself but also doesn't pay taxes is upset with a government that is itself fairly much a bunch of thieves acting illegally for self-enrichment. The reality is the government has already killed the economy so any disruption will in effect have minimal effect on anyone not actually caught in the crossfire.
