And even if you removed the chassis and equipped two computers with IR temperature probes pointed directly at the CPU, I still doubt it would work, because the CPU would be used for encoding, decoding and sending the messages. Even to just send a message it would need to be processing information that is not part of the message while sending the message so it would just be a big mess.

For me its one of those weird "thought experiments" that is kind of fun as in its physically possible, but realistically its a fscking nightmare.

But the point is all that data was already being collected and collated and the AI just presented it in an end user friendly format.
It would feel deeply invasive but now she understands the gravity of a situation that has been around for many years now.

Yeah I agree. But again, I don't think that really is the point. It's one point, and a valid one, but it doesn't address what Meta has done.

Someone determined enough to find her home address would eventually find it (with or without her social media posts).

And of course the task is made easier by combing through her posts, so less determination is needed. Though the level of determination needed is still very high.

So yes, there is a certain level of increased danger due to her social media posts making it easier to find this information than it would have otherwise been.

However, Meta asking every user who visits one of her posts if they want to know where her kids live increases that danger by a literal shitton. Not to mention the fact that it used deleted posts which no stalker would even have access to.
