So "callous old fart" was spot on. Phew. Thank God there aren't more like you around. Ironically you probably whine the loudest whenever your every whim isn't catered to, or things don't go exactly your way. Irony probably isn't a word in your dictionary either, right along with woke.

I have a 128GB or 256GB microSD card in there, and it loops. All you really need is a few days worth as if there is anything worth looking at then you can download it on the day it happens.

You've already stated that you'd cause further injuries to any pedestrian you hit who might have damaged your car.

A very eloquent definition of injuries. You have yet to explain where the additional injuries would come from.

Perhaps look up the meaning of the word "additional".
 
@Foxhound5366 ... Save the number for your local fire dept on your phone. Rather phone them after a MVA, They will dispatch a medical vehicle and inform all the other departments. Once on scene, they will assess and then call/cancel other services.

Strange that 112 number was "weird" like that :unsure: They're are suppose to get the fire department/traffic/saps/ambulance involved ... and 082911 ....they can't guess the person doesn't have medical aid.

I guessed the pedestrian didn't have medical aid, on account of the poor residential area she was walking out of. 082911 seemed remarkably uninterested in helping, but at least they answered the phone so that's nice. As for phoning the fire department, I have never once seen a fire department responding to a regular MVA ... maybe something with vehicle entrapments and mortalities, but I'm 100% confident that Jozi fire department would have laughed me off (they don't even have vehicles for genuine fires from what I've heard).
 
Firstly, can Dashcams become a standard feature from the factory already, geez.

Anyway

The most troubling thing with tales like these is how we just seem to be used to our Public Emergency Services not functioning pretty much at all

We don't phone 10111 or 112 even expecting them to answer the phone, because we know the don't

And if they do, the chances of them actually being able to Dispatch any form of Aid or Assistance is slim, never mind a competent or a timely service.

Its such a severe failure on so many levels, mostly the immorality needed by our people to have things go this bad for so long so widespread I find quite disturbing.

Anyway.

Any half sensible person will go to great lengths to avoid an accident if only due to the desire to avoid the inconvenience from needing to have your vehicle repaired or replaced, never mind the huge pita having to deal with police and court cases etc. And good luck suing someone that earns R6k a month but now we have @Pax with this bs.
What can you say other than "as jy dom is moet jy suffer" :laugh:

To be fair me calling you a fool was not an insult, rather it’s an accurate description of your logic considering only a fool would not go to great lengths to avoid a vehicle accident considering the repercussions thereof, especially one involving a pedestrian but carry on "as jy dom is moet jy suffer"

Well I've never seen that one before. "My good sir, when I called you a massive asshats, it was in fact a compliment and not an insult, for amongst all the asshats in the world I am confident you are the largest and most splendiferous, and nothing at all like lesser asshats."

Edit: random fact, asshats plural still gets through the profanity filter, while the singular version does not. Use it while you can.
