Did the calculation for a once off meeting from Centurion to Rosebank last week - didn’t make any sense to drive there and thats with diesel at 7l/100km

Glad I moved closer to work, from a 22km one way drive if I go straight to work and back to a 3.5km drive made a world of difference to my monthly expenses, especially since I drive a 2002 automatic with 4 gears.

Change your oil every 6 months and take a 2 hour drive on weekends to burn off water condensate in the sump as the engine doesn't have time to heat up in 3.5km.

Still change oil twice a year as with cold driving the engine runs rich which dilutes the oil with petrol.

Ja nee, I see the Geely E2 has a claimed range of 325km (at what speed though?) a charge. 2 to 3 charges every 2 weeks, for me.
