DStv launches 3-in-1 channel South Africa

DStv customers on all packages above EasyView have gained access to Wethu+ on channel 163.

Wethu+ replaces Mzansi Wethu on DStv channel 163. It combines Mzansi Wethu, Mzansi Bioskop, and Mzansi Magic Music programming into one channel.

To cut down the "repeats" remember in order to keep channels running 24/7 you need content, 3 channels with similar content will definitely make it look like the repeats are too much.

You see there is this thing called logic, people seem to lose it regularly when it comes to things like this. Yes, new content eventually becomes old content and too keep channels running 24/7 you need content, if you're spreading it across 3 channels, you're going to repeat it more than you would on a single channel.
Take up the cameras with the stadiums, that's not something DSTV maintain, their cameras could be 4k but if the others aren't you'd be getting a pseudo 4k at best.

tell me truthfully whether you watched any of those channels and whether they contain anything you would want to watch ..... to be totally honest i did not even know those channels existed and even had i known i most likely would never have tuned in to them anyway

Wait do you not know the differences between sport and normal entertainment? Do you struggle to understand the difference between a rugby game and a TV series? Or a documentary? Plus the sport channels run highlights, oh my isn't that a repeat? They also run older games sometimes... Oh noes.

I don't see any skycams there, also how many of the stadiums here have 4k? Also Sky content in 4k is mostly upscaled 4k, it's not true 4k.
I know this is 3 years old now and things are slowly improving but a lot of it still stands

For the normal stuff that is 4k, the streaming services generally have their own content in 4k, very little outside of theirs is 4k and also a streaming service 4k at 25mb/s isn't really 4k, it's compressed and barely a blu-ray in real quality.

All we have seen is channels being removed. When are we getting the promised Canal+ movies, or how about a Hollywood type older series channel for smaller packages again?
