That is not quite true. The agreement is independent. It is not chained to NATO at all. What the agreement does is bar non-NATO third-party states unless agreed to by the "Parties" The "Parties" aren't NATO, but they are parties to NATO. This is a US-Denmark-Greenland agreement. The 2026 agreement is more lax toward the US. There is no expiration date, and the rights granted to the US will continue under an independent Greenland should that be the course.

There is no poison pill here. It does, however, allow Greenland the opportunity to accelerate towards independence under the USA's and Denmark's protection. It is very pro-USA.

Brendan Carr, the chair of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), was for about a decade a member of a rogue Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) group when he was in his late teens and 20s that some former members compared to a “cult”, according to a Guardian investigation.


The Midtown group, which was based in the Washington DC area, attracted young people who were seeking help with addiction, sometimes at the urging of their parents.

But while AA groups are traditionally a fellowship of people who come together to solve their drinking problem, former Midtown members say its one-time leader Michael Quinones – who died of cancer in 2007 – came to control nearly every aspect of their lives, including where they lived, worked and went to school. Former members who spoke to the Guardian also allege that teenage girls and young women were sexually exploited at Midtown, where they were regularly pressured and coerced into “dating” and having sex with multiple men who were also Midtown members – sometimes decades older than them. In at least one case, a former member said she believes that what happened to her could be described as sex trafficking.

Yep, the best they can hope for is a managed decline like the UK after WW2.

At this point that is the democrats. And that is because they are the only party that would be responsive to mass protests.

The only way to save things is if the US public is prepared to flip the table and break out the guillotines, but that's not going to happen, they have been too indoctrinated that their precious constitution and capitalism are perfect in every way.

The way I read it, it says that if the US leaves NATO then they can't have bases or soldiers there.

A Republican senator has accused Donald Trump Jr of corruption and demanded a Senate investigation into revelations that a Russian oligarch bankrolled part of his recent wedding in the Bahamas.

John Curtis, of Utah, wrote to the leaders of the US Senate judiciary committee on Tuesday, urging them to subpoena Trump Jr over his business dealings, his relationships with foreign individuals, gifts he has received – and any occasions where his connection to his father, Donald Trump, “was invoked or understood to provide value”.


Trump Jr’s wedding warrants the kind of scrutiny Republicans once trained on Hunter Biden, the son of Joe Biden, Curtis said.

“A toaster is a wedding gift. A private-island party paid for by a Putin-connected oligarch is something else,” he wrote in a social media post accompanying the letter to the committee. “Republicans nearly wore out the subpoena machine investigating Hunter Biden’s foreign relationships. We should not unplug it now.”

This is just the typical red herring, to attempt to cast shadow over this deal.

USA will never leave NATO...everybody knows that.

Fascinating to see the memes about this deal...demonstrating such a severe lack of knowledge. Blinded by TDS of course.

The differences between this deal and the 1951 deal is significant and in favor of the the US, Denmark and the West in general, especially regarding strengthening NATO.

Much of the pretty crazy propaganda like this is aimed at a particular audience who garner emotional satisfaction from it. It's not meant for you or myself or the majority of audiences out there who can quite easily spot the inconsistencies and often outrageous statements. Still, it's funny to watch lol.
