You can if you travel every day. They aren't super cheap though! Just checked and an annual season ticket for me to travel into London would be £3256. And I'm only just outside the M25 - about 50 minutes into London.

Or it is just that the West coast makes use of cleaner fuels standards, which makes use of west coast local refineries. This is why the prices were higher to begin with.
The rest of the country makes use of diesel and fuel that used to have a large portion imported from the middle east.
Before your start looking for 3rd and 4th order hypothetical explanations, you should look for the 1st and 2nd order evidence based effects first.

In case you forgot... Fox had serious legal issues and had resorted to claiming that their viewers understood they were an entertainment platform, not a source of factual news. This was when they were being sued for flat out spewing unsubstantiated lies.
