Eskom chairman's term extended by 3 years

Mteto Nyati will continue to serve as Eskom board chairman after his original three-year term expires at the end of October 2026, contrary to an earlier report from the SABC.

The public broadcaster reported Nyati would step down ahead of a media briefing by electricity and energy minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa on Friday, 25 September 2026.
