Which South African brand or product do you wish would make a return?

I could never understand why would anyone go pay a lot of money at a restaurant, just to cook your own steak.
There's a lot to it. Each slice is cooked on the spot, rather than 5-10 minutes ago. The sizzle. The aroma (which you CANNOT get without it being on a heat source). Being able to cook every slice differently if you want. Being able to give an intense sear at will without overcooking the inside. The list goes on.

KFC Hawaiian rounder.
Inside Story chocolates.
Nesquik cream-soda milkshake powder that came in a tin.
Complan meal in a glass from the 70s/80s.
Viennetta ice-cream desert from the 90s, I remember the ads were on TV and almost every retailer sold it at one stage.

When we decide on kfc, we open a can of pineapples and recreate the Hawaiian version

Cooked 5-10 min ago means resting a steak.
As for the rest. Again you can do the same at home. But then the same R150 steak will cost you R50. Why does people not cooke their steaks every slice defferently at home?
Hot rock was a party trick for rednecks.

You don't have each bite with equal cooking time. The first bite will be 30 seconds after coming off the grill, the last will be 5-10 minutes later.

Unless you're eating straight out the skillet as you cook, no. You'll never get the smell of cooking steak WHILE you eat. You'll never hear the sizzle of fresh meat hitting the heat WHILE you eat. It adds to the experience.

Why do you not eat the same pizza every time? Variety is good.

The original Post Toasties...the new one is really crap
The corporates don't care. No such thing as keeping loyal customers. Bokomo selling out to PepsiCo and than Pronutro being destroyed/abandoned/****ed around with and than destroyed anyway proves this.

If I win a big Lotto there will be signs. One of them will be Original recipe Pronutro returning in limited batches as we ramp up production slowly as new smaller machines are built just like the originals and are commissioned.

These greedy corporate ***** can't just say " not enough profit, too difficult to manufacture............we cull it. We feed them our genetically modified, profitable, addictive product.....*

O'Grady's (especially sour cream and onion)
Honey and mustard pretzels - they were in small bags with a very thick, sticky salt coating which rubbed off on your fingers, and I think the bag was striped
Salsa Doritos
Barbecue Lays
Holey Moleys
Mighty Nice (milkshake in a box)
BN biscuits
KFC Double Crunch (from back in the day, I think one "patty" was a hashbrown)
Spur salad bar and hot rock
McDonalds Argentina burger

Probably plenty more I can't think of offhand.
It was the Tower Rounder. Miss them as well. Back then you actually got a full fillet. Not the miniature chicken tender you get today. Also miss the streetwise chow. For 10 bucks you got a mini loaf, filled with gravy and a nice big piece of strip stuffed inside. That filled the empty spot nicely.
