Manchester City 'found guilty of majority of 115 charges'

The FA has yet to even officially find them guilty

Probably because it’s the Premier League that instigated the charges and not the FA, and the independent tribunal that heard the case is the PL regulator, the Premier League Board and Executive.

Nothing official yet.

They will announce is a fine on appeal. People are delusional.

Everton docked 10 points for 1 breach with 114 guilty charges I doubt City will get a fine, relegation and maybe trophies striped the most likely outcome. No idea how teams who missed championships league might be compensated.

They not your typical owners though. Army of lawyers. They will be punished but I doubt the severity. And losing titles? Points deduction and transfer ban maybe. Or just a fine.

They have previous with that uefa charges.

They going to be sued no matter the outcome I reckon. Even Lfc is in the queue for that action.

Will they have to pay back any prize winnings?
Surely the losers will be suing the league and City for all kinds of advantages they lost as a result of City's illegal advantages

Exactly and it's extremely complicated as teams might have been relegated because of a city result or game against them.. They also got into that position and build the squad by cheating hopefully the the actual sanctions / punishment comes quick but assume this will drag out another year or two with appeals etc

Army of lawyers only managed to get them off 1 of the 115 charges. Other clubs will sue them as well.

This will not end well for Man City. I can't see them coming out of this the same club.

As I said before, the reputation of the Premier League as a whole is at stake here, you can't just not follow the same rules everyone else has. The punishment MUST be severe and carry over through multiple years.

If Man City gets away largely unscathed it would be utterly scandalous and basically the end of the Premier League as we know it.

This is far bigger than 1 club...City or whoever...or even the EPL..it's about professional football, the way it's being run and mismanaged, the knock on effect on players, coaches, titles this will have and reverberate for decades to come... and what really happens behind the scenes..at many of the clubs, even if , not at the level that City is being charged with with.

Still no sanction and pretty sure City will appeal so its another year or two. Really wonder what the punishment will be saw some opinion they need to be droppped a league or two, imagine city in League 2 Halaand will score 100 goals a season!

The Premier League and the Football League (EFL) are two separate entities. The PL can't just kick a club out and expect the EFL to take them. Also to add, the National League (5th and 6th step in the pyramid) are themselves their own entity and neither the PL nor the EFL can force them to accommodate a club from higher up the pyramid either. There would have to be negotiations.

The more likely scenario is a points deduction that might get them relegated to the Championship, and if the deduction is severe enough, they could start a Championship campaign on negative points.

If we are really lucky though, the PL kicks them out, and neither the ELF nor the NL want them, so they are then forced to write to the Lancashire FA and apply to join one of the regional leagues in Lancashire.

City took the absolute piss and disrespected every single football club in the PL and Europe. They’re complete frauds and should rightly be banned from the PL.
And they have the audacity to still go out their way to deny and be as uncooperative as possible.

Each club will have their story but as an Arsenal fan, we went through years of banter and underperformance because we did the stadium correctly. In comes City to steal our best players routinely. They have distorted the transfer market massively.

Can't imagine how liverpool fans feel scoring 97 points in that season and still finishing second. City needs to be dealt with extremely harshly

Seems like there is a very real chance of a ''doomsday scenario'' for City. It is being reported that the EFL are willing and ready to stand in solidarity with the Premier League if the latter expels City by denying them entry to the EFL, hypothetically forcing them further down the pyramid and into the fifth tier.

Journalist Ben Jacobs says: "As far as I am aware, the Premier League is seeking a significant and unprecedented points deduction, and even the relegation of Manchester City to a lower division."

He added: "I can also exclusively inform you that the English Football League is planning to read the decision if Manchester City are excluded from the Premier League, and that, out of solidarity, it is prepared to support the Premier League's position and try to keep Manchester City out of the League as well."

He concluded: "So there is a risk that, in the worst-case scenario, Manchester City will be excluded from (professional) football entirely."

Premier League Rule C.15 allows the Premier League to expel a club. The English Football League, under Section 11.6.2 of their Handbook, then has provision to accommodate an expelled PL club in League Two, and they would do this by reducing the number of clubs they relegate from the Championship and League One, creating a vacant 24th spot in League Two. But, they are not obligated to do so. The expelled PL club would have to apply for membership to the EFL and this can be denied.
