All entrances to that base are now blocked with military bulldozers and the suspects were caught loading loading drums into multiple vans. The likely scenario is a VBIED assault with each vehicle trying to get deeper into the base.

For obvious reasons I can’t give you an exact formula, but you are unlikely to do any damage 10km away with any conventional explosion.

We do have a public example, the Beirut explosion in 2020 was extremely large, with over 1000 tonnes of ammonium nitrate. Since blast radius effects scale as the 1/3 power, a one tonne blast will have 1/10th of the radius. Do the rest of the math yourself. Google:
Immediate Zero Zone (0 to 1.5 km): Total leveling of the Port of Beirut, including the grain silos and adjacent waterfront buildings. Severe structural collapse of entire building blocks, homes, and critical infrastructure.
Severe Damage Zone (1.5 to 3 km): Heavy structural damage, blown-out facades, shattered windows, and compromised interior walls across major parts of Beirut and neighboring Bourj Hammoud. Several major hospitals in this ring were rendered partially or fully non-functional.
Extended Impact Zone (Up to 10 km): Noticeable property damage, shattered glass, and superficial structural impacts were reported up to 10 kilometers from Warehouse 12 at the port.

P.S. Not sure how many databases I will get added to for that comment, but it's all public information. And the fact that I did a student vac job in the industry is purely coincidental...

JUST IN: A LONE UK FARMER driving home near RAF Fairford base is the one who SPOTTED the Middle Eastern men and 3 vans suspiciously blocking a quiet country road — then she called and reported it immediately.

This likely averted a MAJOR ATTACK or BOMBING. They were wearing BALACLAVAS and SCATTERED towards RAF Fairford, per Telegraph.

"She accelerated away and called the police."

Within half an hour, the would-be terrorists were in custody.

THANK GOD FOR HER.

“It is pretty incredible, realizing you had a brush with potential terrorists face to face and may have foiled a terrorist plot. It was clear they had just got there. Thank God we spotted them," she told the Telegraph.

She did the right thing.

The UK has invited way too many 3rd worlders into their country. It's farmers like THIS who make the West great, NOT importing invaders.

British leadership need to wake up and slam the border SHUT.

SUMMARY: What we know so far about the RAF Fairford suspected bomb plot

- A farmer driving home in the early hours found three white vans blocking a village road with no one inside

- Suspicious, she immediately turned around before seeing a "group of Middle Eastern-looking young guys run off through the trees" in the direction of the air base wearing masks

- One van displayed a UK number for a company called "Fuel 2You", which is not registered on Companies House. The number also appeared to be one digit short and does not ring when called

- She immediately called 999 and five men were arrested within 25 minutes under the Explosives Act. Homes were evacuated and a major incident was declared just after 8am

- Later today, the two rear doors of two of the vans were open and large black containers could be seen scattered around with a bomb disposal robot operating next to the vans

- The five suspects were then further arrested on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act

- Counter Terror Police are understood to think that a suspected bomb plot linked to Iran is the most likely scenario due to US air bombers operating from the base

- Last night, before the incident, reports said that the base was at its highest alert with tractors blocking all gates. A local in the village said they had been stopped at gunpoint at a roadblock by a group of American soldiers, who ordered them to put their hands out of the car and identify themselves

- Donald Trump claims the US had been investigating the five suspects and had them "under view for a long time"
