Game Over for 31-year-old South African store

I am aware of that. But it is a massive pain in the ass if you need to go to joburg for a warranty claim and receive absolute piss poor customer service.
Where previously any issue I could just go to titan ice here in Pretoria. Had service with buys and warranties.
Hopefully neither the gpu or ssd fails so I don't need the route.

I am also now sort of stuck as I relied on them to also install any hardware I bought for me. Now I am struggling to think of any trustworthy pc store in Pretoria I could turn to.
not really

lot of distributors have branches across the country and you could courier it to them with prior arrangements.

Rectron - CPT / JHB / PE / DBN /BLM
Mustek - CPT / JHB / DBN (i dont know anywhere else)
Pinnacle - CPT/ JHB (I spot something GBA unsure what or where that is)
Syntech - CPT / JHB / DBN

list goes on SOME are JHB only if you ever need help with a warranty issue and it wasnt bought through us its fine ill direct you where you need to be provided this serial was with who ever it was that distributed it.

**edit sorry i forgot to type this

Lot of places in JHB im sure or PTA (im from CPT so its all the same you guys next to each other) @Progenix Oj101 not sure where in GP he is maybe can assist on building

OR fun to build a PC could always learn (not sarcastic just it can be fun)

The thing about buying and building a PC is the feeling you get of walking out of the shop with all the parts and advice from the guys behind the front desk. There is no online store in the world that can mimic that feeling of excitement. Yea I suppose we are now just old gamers - Tech enthusiasts, hell I'd just go there with a bunch of goodies for the guys because, why the hell not. I really hope the guys start something that involves the 2nd hand market, verify, test, resell. Especially for the prices we as consumer pays.

As for the distributors, their internal pricing now in some areas match what one can buy sometimes better pricing on places like Takealot and Amazon, than to buy it from the distributors directly, so anyone saying its not just a market pricing problem but also distributors being short sighted are also part of the problem. That 10-20% margin is there to protect the smaller guys selling direct to consumer if you get rid of that and sell it right at cost level then you literally undercut everyone in the market, even bulk buyers.

Its a nasty way of doing business.

Same problem for Fibre pricing and how the internet of things works.
