Good Day @Afrigirl @AfriGuy @AfriNatic
A ticket was opened on 16 September 28, 2026, with reference 01634224 and has been closed and reopened a few times. Even today it remains open.
On the first time the Vuma techs came through to my house they managed to get it working, although we weren’t told what the issue was. It worked for maybe two days.
So, I reached out to Afrihost to report this issue only to find out that the ticket was still open with Vuma and Afrihost escalated the ticket again.
Vuma came out a second time on Tuesday 22 September 2026 and on this occasion for the first time I have ever heard in my life they were asking my wife for a 15-meter hosepipe. We gave them our hosepipe, and we don’t know what they wanted it for, but the internet worked again shortly after.
Then again, our internet stopped on Thursday 24 September 28, 2026. I have been following up for updates since then on Friday 25 September 2026 , Saturday 26 September 28, 2026, and today 28 September 2026. On Saturday 26 September 2026 the update was that it has been assigned to a tech and is pending tech arrival. The tech never did arrive.
Today 28 September 2026 I’m told the very same update.
During this time, we have had no choice but to use mobile data which we have had to buy over and above our monthly budget because we work from home. This has not been the first time that we have been left to our own devices to get internet while when the Vuma techs come have endless excuses and no answers. Again, we work from home we have spent 1000’s on data so we can continue to work.
Also, WHO us going to replace my hosepipe?
Why are we giving YOU (Vuma) the provider supplies to fix what YOU (Vuma) are supposed to be responsible for?
If you are going to tell me that your fiber cabling is in its own piping, then what was my hosepipe for?
I’ll tell you what it was for … a quick fix!!!
Who is going to take responsibility for the data we have had to buy because YOUR (VUMA) service stopped and YOU (VUMA) took so long to repair even though the “repair” only lasted for 2 days.
Why can you not fix it so that it stays fixed ?
I have already asked Afrihost if I can change from VUMA because this is just not acceptable.
I have been asking for updates over the last days as I always have using the Afrihost whatsapp facility and the update Afrihost gives me is
I have just gotten off the phone with Vuma customer service and now I get told that the ticket is not assigned to a tech and there is a comment on the ticket saying 22 September 28, 2026a note was made saying a permanent fix needs to be made and then a further update on the 27 September 28, 2026 for the permanent fix and could not get access and there was no reply or answer from us. I don’t believe this at all because I did not receive a call from anyone on the 27 September 28, 2026 nor did any Vuma tech or any other tech come to my house on the 27 September 28, 2026.
PS : I have emailed the Afrihost, Vuma complaints email and submitted an official complaint to the ICASA (ombudsman)
