British Police Arrest Men Driving Toward U.S. Bomber Base In The U.K. With Suspected Explosives

Hope police apologized and gave their explosives back to them as well.
The police might be accused of racism and you know how sensitive they are in the UK. I mean, British authorities tried their best to avoid discussing rape gangs because of the national origin of the perpetrators.

I still have to say this. UK has an influx of ex-colonial people because the UK colonised half the world. And UK expats still enjoy life all over the world. Same with France, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese.

In the 1500s the Brits had a choice. Stay on our island or colonise much of the world. Just go there and take it. As a result, now Britain looks a bit like Rome of the 1st few centuries AD.

I've rewatched Black 47 the other day and there was also the BS in Ireland and the whole Potato Famine.

People should be happy. Diversity is the result of empire.

Afrikaaners down here found out the hard way. Now that a few get a break with Trump, some English friends get a lil jealous about this 'over the pond' aid.

Released on bail, not the best idea.

Five men who were arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences near RAF Fairford are being released on police bail, counter-terror police have said.

A major incident was declared and dozens of homes were evacuated after police were alerted to three "suspicious vehicles" near the airbase in Gloucestershire in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) said officers were exploring "multiple lines of inquiry", including whether proxies or individuals working on behalf of a foreign state were involved.

Well you know how it was always, a UK passport and an SA one, or no SA one, allowed the best of both worlds. Now some Afrikaners get a shot at a US one, no Dutch passport after all. What was that term - salty peepee or something? :)
So, some afrikaners will keep SA citizenship, a country that is continuously trying to kill & eliminate them since 1994 ?

We were jealous of their high IQs, now we are jealous of their (well, your tribe) extraordinary dual citizenship.

They were simply handed a British passport ? How can I do this and where? I wish Rupert would elaborate so that I can join my brother there.

No. Some Afrikaaners now get a shot at a great passport and some of our English friends who like their UK one, don't always feel as much joy for these dudes as they could.

You know it's like Britain didn't hold the patent on slavery and imperialism but Afrikaaners get the blame for all of former SA's ills and even now some of our liberal English writers remain very sus of them. I don't recall the Boer republics ever trading in slaves unlike well... but that's a matter for another discussion :)

Even if that's true, fuel and cable thieves etc should be treated as terrorists imo.

But i find it funny that they would choose a village right next to an airbase. Unless they were planning to break into the airbase to steal their fuel.

I'm not buying the fuel theft idea, that's too dumb to make sense. You don't need 3 vans in convoy to steal fuel. Probably a cover story for a diversionary incident, with the real threat actors nowhere near. If intelligence had any foreknowledge, they would have waited for events to unfold, now they have no proof, except a few 'useful idiots'. Most likely the whole scheme fell apart due to community vigilance. Maybe it's a Hollywood type event, but we will never hear the whole truth.

The village that was evacuated, Whelford, has a fairly large grain farm right next to the base. My guess is they were going to rob it of supplies.
Reports of prior intel are likely just to save face.

All the stupid politics though, damn, okes minds are rotting to find angles.
