I hope Elon is listening – Deputy Minister Gungubele

Tuesday morning lols...

“Can you get along with us? Work with us in this journey of minimising inequality?” Deputy Minister of Communications and Technology Mondli Gungubele said at an event hosted by Bloomberg near Cape Town on Monday.

Is this the same Minister Gungubele?
Under the leadership of Mayor Mondli Gungubele, the metro has been rocked by the following major scandals:

  • The illegal appointment of the city manager, Khaya Ngema
  • Irregularly awarding an IT tender worth R35 million
  • Fraudulently awarding a tender for the procurement of Water Meters for R205 – million
  • Irregularly awarding a tender for an ‘institutional review’ for R32-million
  • Irregularly awarding R100-million worth of tenders in the Roads and Transport Departments
  • Ignoring the Constitutional Court ruling on the illegal forced removal and relocation of over 1000 people from Bapsfontien to the N12 informal settlement
  • A string of police chiefs who are either not qualified or under criminal investigation

Starlink planned to support that 30% with insane donations, upliftment of schools, rural areas and and more. But it’s clear the only interest is in back pockets not actually benefiting the country lol.

The logic put forth by our amazing deputy minister will definitely get Elon to change his mind, think about how much money he would make from just 70% of his venture in SA and how many Blue Lambos the connected cadres could buy.

He must help even out the inequality of blue lambo access to the connected elite.

/Turns on ignore button until 4 Nov.

Can't wait for the 5th of November... (fireworks day ;))

Elon, in fact is not listening.
And these people (including MyBroadband) are farming us for rage clicks and responses.

“I hope Elon is listening,” he said.

“What is 30% share if you take into account the 70% value that you are going to make in terms of yields and profits? He could invest very significantly in the country of his birth,” he said.

Telecommunications operators such as Starlink are subject to licensing regulations that require 30% ownership by Black citizens.

30% is a lot when the entire thing belongs to you.
