When you give a contractor very specific instructions on how you want something done and they get it 50% right.

I didn't think I could be any more specific with explaining I wanted a 1/3rd running brick bond in a tile pattern, explaining what that actually meant and somehow the idea that it must be a pattern over 3 rows was beyond his comprehension so instead I got a 1/3rd brick bond over 2 rows.

This is definitely words... and I'm sure they have meaning... but my IT brain no comprende :D

That is exactly what I got..

When the car behind you is making weird noises but you think it's your car and you immediately start wondering what's wrong, what its going to cost, when you'll find the time to fix it etc. And then the noise takes the turnoff and your worry disappears.
