The state is the NPA etc. Who could have prosecuted him for crimen iniuria exactly the same charge as what was levied at Penny Sparrow.

The tweet, published on September 14 with the words “Rest in power #GUSHUNGO” featured a video with quotes by Mugabe. “The only white man you can trust is a dead white man,” read one of the quotes alongside a picture of Mugabe.
Malema later shared a message, accompanied by the words “Stratcom #GUSHUNGO”, from Twitter, saying it had “investigated the reported content and could not identify any violations of the Twitter Rules”.

Why is it Afriforum's job to enforce the law and ensure it is applied equally? This is why the US is done with the pretence that the SA government is neutral on the matter.

If you read the definition of Crimen Injuria, you will see that there is no way he could have been charged with it. Hence the hate speech route.

The current US government is at least as corrupt as the SA government. Thinking that they've got your back is the epitome of naivety.

Whilst they are helping, what is the downside? That Afriforum lose favour with the ANC?

So far the strategy is very effective IMO, changing how people view the ANC is important. Changing the framing of the conversion is how you start changing policy. This is why there is such a big pushback with the fake white genocide, white nationalism narrative in the media.

We acknowledge that there are intangible things that people cherish as part of their identity and that they wish to preserve. We believe, however, that the promotion of these things could only be sustainably achieved if other cultural, religious and linguistic communities are also given the right to organise their lives in the ways they see fit – even if you disagree with their beliefs.

Race-based nationalism stands in the way of exactly these things that AfriForum wishes to achieve. It is in the pursuit of the above-mentioned things cherished by AfriForum and also in its opposition to a one-dimensional race-based approach, that AfriForum has repeatedly taken action for the protection of the rights of other communities.

Crimen Injuria is an offence against the individual, not a group.

So at the very least, Julius would have had to have specified which specific boer he was suggesting be killed.

Just checked - she was found guilty of hate speech.

It was that other estate agent who got done for CI, based on what she said to the cop who had stopped her.
