Netanyahu had a metting with the plumber and the plumber told Netanyahu exactly what he did and what he saw. Are you calling the plumber a liar as well?
When one person states something, and another repeats what they though the other person said, the results are not always the truth. BTW, that is why hearsay evidence is not admissible in court. Google:
Why Hearsay Is Excluded
No Cross-Examination: The opposing party cannot question the original speaker (called the declarant) to test their honesty, memory, or perception.
Lack of Oath: The original statement was usually not made under oath or in front of a judge or jury.
Risk of Distortion: Information can change or lose its true meaning each time a person repeats it.
Unreliable Credibility: The witness in court is only repeating what they heard, so they cannot answer questions about why the original speaker said it or if they were telling the truth.
Not an exact analogy, but something similar that happened to me last week:
I helped break up a fight between two dogs, in which the smaller one was badly bitten. The owner thanked me profusely for 'saving' the dogs life. There were two other people there, and the owner had a big walking stick, so it is not reasonable to attribute everything to my actions. She is entitled to her opinion, and I appreciate the feedback, but that doesn't make it the truth...
