R140 for a full charge in 2026 or a full tank of petrol in 2000

In 2000, Springbok tickets were R250, a week's worth of food about R200, electricity about 50 cents per kWh, games were R300, Joburg actually functioned and you could drive to Durban for R140. We had no idea how good we had it. Say what you will about Bill Clinton but at least he didn't start idiotic wars which he couldn't win.

At least we now have electric cars and cheap Internet.

Maybe getting blown under the desk in the Oval Office by an intern is the secret to good governance. Who knew...

He should have started one in Rwanda when the intelligence services said there were dangers. Would have saved about 800 000 people.

It was just pathetic that he was judged on that alone. Why even care what he did with his member? Conservative Christians can only grasp the most insignificant things as their minds are so tiny. They're now the ones bearing the brunt of R30 per litre but they are still cheering on Trump and worshiping Israel.

Pretty sure the 45L tank got you more KMs than the E2's battery will. Have nothing against the E2, or EVs in general, but batteries needs to get to the same level of range as a standard 40L+ tank does before this comparison is worth something.

Sadly the next fella was the one who got stuck with the "starting" wars

Yes, but the comparison is costs.

You get a hell of a lot of convenience with an EV if most of your commuting is within its range. Everything is about trade offs.

Why? 90% of trips are less than 50km and with current battery sizes you only need to charge once a week. Also, bigger battery more weight.

One thing I'm wondering is what companies will do with regards to travel claims.

Currently when I visit a client I claim back those kms.

If I decide to buy an EV, then I will be able to pocket a lot more.

Will they eventually create a new category for EVs?
