SA Politics Part 14 - The New Dawn turns to Dusk

Out and about in the 'Deep South' today and curiously saw some FF+ posters in the super DA stronghold of Fish Hoek (DA: 86.1%, FF: 1.1% on 2024 provincial ballot). RISE, ACDP, the ANC and EFF all beat the FF+.

News 24/SABI have conducted a number of polls for key metros: https://specialprojects.news24.com/elections26-poll-explorer/index.html. Gareth Van Onselen gave his seal of approval:

What could the MK have possibly done to increase their vote in Tshwane? I don't even see them holding on to what they got in 2024.

iStimela sabantu? It's beautiful, hope it doesn't break your heart too much.

please book me a ticket on a train serving the route between jhb / ct, or jhb / dbn.

we hear of the rail infrastructure being destroyed / vandalised etc during covid - the mantra of the anc / prasa / transnet.
and yet both the blue train and rovos operate on those very same routes.
more interestingly is the blue train being a transnet entity - and yet they still try sell us the same woeful tale.

so while the anc govt allowed the most advanced rail network on the continent fall apart, our road networks are paying the price with heavy cargo being transported by road, instead of rail.
and of course, swathes of the population are now denied safe and affordable long distance rail travel to visit friends and relatives, but instead subjected to either dangerous road travel, or over priced air travel.

well done anc & transnet - yet another good story to tell
