Another sign of collapse in South Africa

The increase in calls on the government to impose tariffs or restrictions on imports is a sign of South Africa’s weak local manufacturing base, which has deteriorated considerably over the past 15 years.
Its insane, SA must be the most expensive place on the planet at this point. Taxed into the ground at the source and then taxed some more to protect uninvestable industries.

Tell me how the car manufacturing sector is going to survive another 20 years. Maybe we need another 50% tax on imports.

My amazement at the country's ability to stay on its feet in spite of the ANC is never ending. But please vote the ANC back in to run your municipality, I'm sure it will work out great for you.

It has been impressive, but there is not much more it can take.

We are now entering the 12th round of a boxing bout and we have had the ever-loving sh*t beaten out of us. We''ve peeled ourselves off the canvas three times and are now staggering around the ring. Both eyes are closed up and we've got a fractured right hand. Blood is streaming out of a cut above our eye and every breath we take hurts because of a broken rib. The corner has worked miracles to keep us going, but there isn't much more we can take.
