Watching a 1997 mini series - Stephen King's The Shining.
Apparently he was directly involved in making this as he was unhappy with Kubrick's 1980 film and wanted it to more closely follow his book.
There are 3 episodes. Not too bad so far but feels B-grade. Atmosphere & setting is top class.
A young Rebecca de Mornay, portraying Wendy, provides the eye candy.
Jack is played by Steven Weber. He looks familiar but haven't seen him in anything recent.

Hah, its almost 2 points lower than the movie on IMDB.

Info - a new season of Blue Lights is out and about.

Watched first episode of series 4 and while it was nice to see familiar faces the story line isn't my cup of tea.

If a certain lady isn't killed preferably painfully in episode 2 or maybe 3 I won't bother to finish the series.

Disappointed, but others might disagree.

That may be but the character development, especially of Jack Torrence, is better. He doesn't start off unhinged as in Nicholson's portrayal. Also, it's a more faithful adaption of the book.

Final episode of Lanterns was above average. A couple of twists. The season was underwhelming. I expected more and different but was disappointed. Not sure if I will watch a 2nd season if they make one, especially if Kyle Chandler is not in it. He made the show.

Love horror, Stephen King and Mike Flanagan, so this is a no brainer for me.
